The Open Truth campaign aims to raise awareness about the health risks of sugary drinks such as diabetes, heart disease, and tooth decay. Open Truth highlights how the sugary drink industry targets young people, parents, and communities of color to boost profits and brand loyalty. Despite evidence linking these drinks to serious health issues, the industry continues to market them to vulnerable groups. The Bigger Picture Campaign, created by Youth Speaks Inc. and the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations, aims to tackle the growing problem of type 2 diabetes. It empowers young people to shift the conversation about the disease and address the social and environmental issues contributing to its spread.Watch Video
